Week 9 – Receiving feedback

In the lesson we would be given feedback for our projects so far from our peers and tutors. This is to give us an idea of how we are doing and where we can possibly improve, based on the feedback that we have received.

After obtaining some feedback I noticed that I was heading in the right direction with the PowerPoints that I had made for this, as well as being given some ideas and changes that could be made that might help improve my work.

With regards to the functionality of my PowerPoints there were no major issues and I was even told that the way I give feedback was great for the young learner that would be interacting with the game that I have been working on. However with the presentation of the feedback I was given some ideas to improve my presentation, such as using more pictures and trying to make the hints I give more maths related.

With the art design I received some ideas for changing it such as making the “talking face” more child appropriate and changing the colour scheme to include more variety of colours. After having a look at changing the colours I have found an improvement just from messing around for a few minutes.

While working on my project, I will look at the feedback and take it into account as I am making progress, as I feel that the way that it looks is better after I have received and implemented some of the feedback provided. However some of the feedback may not be able to be implemented as it may create some technical problems later on.
